Wow!!!

I just needed to get on here to make sure I could still do it.  It has been a very long time.  February 2012 is almost over.  School is in full swing.  After a rocky start of the year we moved Lucas to Cook Hill School for 2nd grade and he is doing great.  We are busy with karate and horseback riding.  I can actually canter!!! Yeah!!!!  We are getting ready for another belt testing (my second and Jeremy and Logan's first).  I am feeling like I need to start writing and getting creative again.  So I am back!!

 

This one is from a trip to Boston with some friends last year.  Love the door they are standing in front of.  

After a long year and a lot of changes I got my reading job back!!! (Was bumped out by someone with more senority as a result of downsizing - was supposed to teach 2nd grade at MYB). So now on to a new school and a new adventure. I will be teaching reading at Highland School. One perk is that all of my kids will be there. Our first day of school ritual will remain in tact. It's a good day!!

Serenity Now!!

Our balloon ride was beautiful!!  Bob won the experience in a golf tournament and we went yesterday morning at 5:30a.m.  Most of you know I am not a morning person, but it was well worth the early rise. After the ride we had mimosas and cheese and crackers in the park.  Everyone should try this at least once in their lives.  

 

Family

Having a great time with family.  My brother has been in since last Sunday with my nephew and my two nieces Jessie and Cassie have been staying over since then as well.  All the kids are having a great time together, late nights and all.  We've been swimming, to the skate park, Highland playscape, movies, Lyman Orchards, grilling and biking.  We are just missing Olivia who decided to stay home.  We are heading to the beach tomorrow after Bob and I go on our 5:00am balloon ride!!!!

Sorry I haven't written. I am beyond busy fighting for the future of my kids education. Meetings beyond meetings, rallies, interviews with the media, meetings with the $ave our $chool$ crew. I am a true activist (following in the footsteps of my favorite activist, one Eddie Vedder)!

My grown up "little man!"

My little man is officially a cub scout.  I don't care if he ever wears a patch, he looks so darn cute in the uniform that I can't stand it.  He's looking forward to his first hike and earning some patches.  I think he was made for this uniform....

Spiderman (again)

Let's see if I can get this to work today - yes-Yesterday was Logan's field day at his preschool.  There were lots of fun things to do...moon bounce, parachutes, games, snow cones and one of the best face painters I have ever seen.  I will let the pictures speak for themselves................................

I've spent a half hour trying to download pictures and it won't work.  Today was Logan's field day at school and I had some great pix to share, but nothing.  They keep just coming up as a blank square?????  I'm off to bed instead.  I will try again tomorrow.
