Priceless!!!

So Logan and I have this ritual and it goes a little something like this:

Logan: "I love you!"

Me:  "I love you more."

Logan:  "I love you like Speed Racer."

Me:  "I love you to the moon and back."

Usually it stops right there and that is the end of it...Mommy wins.  Well the other night we went through our ritual as usual.  I got to my part where I say, "I love you to the moon and back," and he said,

Logan:  "I love you to the moon and front!"  He then said,"I got you Mommy!" and proceeded to laugh hysterically.  It was priceless......and so is this face.................................

True Beauty

So yesterday I made an impulse purchase.  I was at my favorite flower place, Tower Farms and I saw the most beautiful peony plants.  They immediately got my attention and I just couldn't walk away without making a purchase.  They weren't something I needed or was planning to get, however when I saw them they immediately brought me back to my Grandmother's house.  She had a long line of peony plants against one of the fences in her backyard and I used to love to look at them.  We would always walk around her yard looking at flowers or her prized tomato plants or even doing yard work together.  The peonies were always covered in ants though.  However, I learned while at the farm that ants are a necessity for successful peony plants because they eat the sap that surround a peony bud and keep it sealed, therefore freeing them to bloom (who would of thunk it?).  Anyway the plants were a total impulse buy only purchased because they reminded me of my very special Grandma who passed away a few years ago.  The pictures don't even do it justice but here they are............

Birthday month

O.K. so it's June 1st.....what's that saying....better late than never.  I think that is my life motto.  I have a lot of things I want and mean to do and I eventually get around to all of them...it just takes a while sometimes.  Well, I have a new goal.  This is the first day of my birthday month.  I am going to be 40 on the 23rd.  Wow!!  I can't believe it.  Anyway my goal is to blog everyday this month atleast until my birthday.  I will be blogging about all kinds of things.  Here's a preview: what the kids are up to, the end of the school year, summer plans, birthday plans, Newport, my party, getting my eyebrow pierced (oh yes you heard my correctly), the pool, friends, Eddie Vedder etc.  Can't wait..lots to think about and do.  Come back and check......

Happy New Year - oh Facebook what you have done to me......

I am only a few weeks behind wishing all a happy new year..sorry.  The little free time I have on the computer lately I have been spending on Facebook.  As a result I have been able to reconnect with a lot of people I haven't talked to in many, many years:  people I went to high school with, college and all my friends in the "after- life" (meaning after kids).  It's amazing how easy it has become to find and communicate with people.  My favorite part is the old pictures people have sent back from my elementary and middle school years.  It takes me back like it was yesterday. 

Let us not forget though in this age of advanced technology, good old fashioned face-to-face time.  It is important to actually interact with real people.

Christmas 2008

I have been a little lax in my blogging since before the holiday.  You know how it is, all that work and build up before the holiday and then boom......over in a flash.  Bob and I got each other a digital video camera for Christmas.  I will have to figure out how to get it on my blog.  That would be neat, especially for those of you that don't see us that often.  I will work on it.

Christmas was awesome.  All three kids were completely excited and loved every last minute of it, until it was over of course.  Some of the presents Santa gave out were........

    a desk for Jeremy

    light sabers for all three boys (watch out)

    a Cool School computer for Lucas

    a drum set and guitar

    a tabletop ice hockey table

    good old lite brite

    Star wars and Kung Fu Panda characters

    soccer nets for outside

    M&M's in the stockings

    etc.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!

Tootsie Roll Tom and Peppermint Penni's Wedding

They were married on Sunday, October 26, 2008.  It was a beautiful day (after many days in a row of torrential down pours).  Bob was dashing as the best man.  Looking at him that day still makes my heart skip a beat.  Logan was the ring barer.  We were all so proud of him.  He did exactly as he was supposed to, posed for all the pictures they asked of him and danced the night away.  In fact all three of the boys danced the night away.  At times they were all fighting over who was going to dance with Mommy. 

They had a photo booth at the wedding, so cool!  It took two sets of strips, one to keep and one to put in an album for Tom & Penni.  Very cool!

I wasn't able to get too many shots because I had to entertain all three kids while Daddy performed his duties, but here are some of the best:

The highlight for Jeremy & Logan was the ride in the golf cart during the reception!!!  What fun!!  Congrats to Tom and Penni, who are at this very minute enjoying their honeymoon!!!

Halloween, Better late then never!

I promised I would go back and blog about Halloween.  A great time was had by all of our superheroes.  Jeremy was Batman, Logan was Robing(his sidekick as Jeremy walked around and told everyone), and Lucas was the Hulk.  It was a beautiful night weather wise.  We went to more houses than we ever have.  Jeremy enjoyed handing out candy just as much as getting it (nice to see - he's really growing up).  Here are a few pics taken that day:

No more cutting vitamins - Logan's 4

Hooray - Logan is four years old today.  We had his party on Saturday.  It was at the bowling alley.  Some school friends, home friends and a few family members were there to join in on the fun.  As usual the cake lady (that is what I lovingly call her) did not disappoint us.  Before I share the pix here are some things to know about Logan right now..........

At four years old (just today) 

Loves basketball, soccer and football; riding his scooter(his new big boy scooter) and bike

Likes to eat pizza, pancakes, pasta and steak

Would stay outside every minute of the day if he could

Is a great typical peer at preschool

Is a night-owl, staying up as late as he can and then sleeping late in the am

Is irrisistible when he says, "Sure"

Starting to reveal quite a personality

Doesn't mind posing for pictures

Gets moody and crabby when tired

Wants everything his brothers have, "right now!"

LOVES TO CHEW GUM (one piece after another until the pack is gone)

My baby went to preschool

It was Logan's first day of preschool today.  He was so excited to go to Kiddie Korner (where his brothers went).  He watched them go off so many times and was so happy it was finally his turn.  He went in with no problems, let me take lots of pictures and was such a big boy.  He said he played with trains, played basketball, painted and stamped pictures.  Here are some of the images I captured........................

The Big School

Today was Jeremy and Lucas' first day of kindergarten.  Today began their stints at Yalesville School.  I was anxious, yet excited.  It helped that they were coming to my school, the school that I have spent all but one year of my career teaching at.  I think I was more nervous than them.  Overall they did a great job, no crying (not even from me).  They really enjoyed their day.  Lucas stayed at Yalesville all day and Jeremy did a half of a day and then went over to St. Paul's, an afternoon kindergarten program for those who attend school in the morning.  (It's very laid back, more like daycare than school, but it is only for kindergartners). 

I'm so proud of my two boys, my first born, my twins.  I remember their birth like it was yesterday.  The time went so fast.  But I can't say enough about how well they have done, how hard they have worked and about how happy they have made me. I want nothing but the best for both of them, and can only ask that they always give an effort and do the best they can.  I love you guys!!  Good luck!!
